Photography trip to Egypt with VISUALIZE The World

Every year we organize a Landscape Photography trip to Egypt in collaboration with Starling Reizen. What an adventure! days of desert safari, sleeping literally in the middle of nowhere while crossing stunning landscapes. Hidden perspectives

Aerial views always give another perspective to landscapes. Is is not only the compositions or colors that it reveals, but also, it shows hidden treasures to all ground level perspectives. Azores was not a new destination for us, we were used to the volcanic landscapes and we knew there was another approach to those green cones and "caldeiras". This is an aerial top view showing a small volcanic crater and road in the mountains of the San Jorge Island, the Azores, near pico de la Esperanza, Portugal. Exploring New Zealand

Enjoying our time in New Zealand, country of amazing landscapes and precious wildlife. On this photo having breakfast at a unique location in lake Tekapo, thanks to our 4x4 campervan which takes us everywhere we need. The lupins (common in this area though not native) cover the shores of the lake giving it all fairy tale colours :) Follow our steps through our Instagram stories ;)

Reviving analogue memories

Back in 2004, Sebastian spent a full year in New Zealand, one of his childhood's dream locations. At that time he was still shooting on analogue slide film and he's been dreaming to go back to revisit the wild landscapes, visit friends and of course, shoot non-stop with our updated digital gear.... so, it's time to go to New Zealand! Unexpected Egypt

Some pictures are taken in the most unexpected places. This is a portrait of Estíbalitz photographing in the early morning at the salt lake in Bahariya oasis in Egypt. Back from Kyrgyzstan

We are back! the first two weeks of October we spent in Kyrgyzstan venturing ourselves to the vast and diverse landscapes of this country and working together with locals on photoshoots and other upcoming projects. This picture is just a tiny moment of experience in our trip, we will tell you more about it soon ;)

Off-road driving in Bolívia

Driving off-road is fun but most important, it takes you to unbelievable places. Bolívia had loads of those! Back there we had one of those situations you might say it only happens in the movies. After hours of driving and not crossing a single car, something underneath our car got loose. We could not keep on driving like that, but there was literally nobody around and, of course, no phone signal. Out of nowhere, a truck started approaching us on the road. It was a friendly man willing to help in case he could... he only had one tool with him....and it was THE tool we needed!!! Intelligent birds

At the parents of Sebastian, the intellegent magpies and jackdaws (birds) would drop walnuts on the hard roof in the hope to break them open. This was photographed one morning on the icy roof full of abstract patterns.

EYES WIDE OPEN WHEN DRIVING IN ICELAND! This was not the only Oystercatcher we found walking on the roads of Iceland. The gravel roads are very similar to the natural breeding habitat of this species. They get confused and feel comfortable to lay eggs very close to where the cars drive. We should all keep a good eye on the road, specially when it rains and they blend even more with the ground they sit on.

Dare. Dare to see what's on the other side.

Pico island, THE AZORES: Sometimes you just need to dare. Dare to cross barriers, like a mass of low clouds on a fresh evening, and get the chance to see what's waiting on the other side. For instance, a beautiful sunset of warm sunbeams caressing Mount Pico and the soft waves of clouds flowing on top of a crater. of clouds flowing on top of a crater.

An early morning in a yurt camp with a lovely Kyrgyz family

Issyk Kul Region, KYRGYZSTAN: That morning we had just arrived in the camp when a man showed some interest in us. Our mission for that morning was to take some portraits of real Kyrgyz people, so we asked if he could help us with that. Pleased, he took us to his yurt, got changed and asked his wife to also be part of the picture. Once the portraits were taken, it was time for breakfast and we were invited to join their family. It was fun sharing that time together, although we couldn't speak each other's language, we understood very good and enjoyed a lovely traditional Kyrgyz breakfast.
